MapleStone is a family run Bed and Breakfast. Your hosts, Sean and Patty Roche, grew up in Rosendale just ten miles from the inn. The Hudson Valley has always been their home. No matter how far they traveled, they would always find their way back for vacations and family reunions. Now they have returned home permanently and with their daughters, Kayla and Taryn, the Roches are delighted to open their new old home to you.

Sean is an Emmy Award winning television writer and producer who works on animation productions in Los Angeles and around the world. Patty, a pediatric intensive care nurse for many years, now cares for the garden, grounds, and inn. Their younger daughter, Kayla, is a graduate of the famed Culinary Institute of America. She helped open MapleStone and prepared the breakfast menu before moving back to the west coast, where she is now the head chef at a private school. Taryn is a Special Education teacher in San Diego. Like their parents before them, Taryn and Kayla return home whenever their schedules allow. (If you happen to reserve a room when Kayla is home on vacation, you may find her back in the kitchen preparing a five star breakfast just for you!)

The Roches will welcome you to MapleStone the way they always welcome a warm rain, a Sunday breeze, and a weary traveler with a good story to tell.
